メールの課題（ネイティブチェック） [ネイティブのこなれた表現]
Intelligent Business Skills Bookを使って学習しています。
ライティングの課題で、
「私は新任担当者。前任者がある数値情報を提出してもらうよう海外の支社にお願いしていたが、まだ提出されていなかった。前任者からの引継ぎ漏れで連絡が遅れたのだが、明日できるだけ早く数値情報を欲しい。その旨のメールを書くこと。私が相手に連絡を取るのは今回が初めて。」
という課題がありました。
私の文と添削されたものを掲載します。（恥をさらすような箇所もありますが）

I’m writing this e-mail to kindly remind you of our request for submission of figures. Our section sent the request last month. I’m sorry for this urgent request, but I need to receive the figures early tomorrow Japan time. I attach the e-mail of our request on Feb 1st as below, as a reminder. I should have notified this to you earlier, but my predecessor forgot to take this over to me.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any questions and inquiries, do not hesitate to contact me.

指摘されたポイントは下記のとおりです。少し細かい指摘もありますが、なるほどと納得しました。
1・Dearで既に挨拶しているのでHelloは不要。
2・Iで始まる文ばかりが3つ続いていたので、I workは前の文とつなげる
3・相手に配慮してできるだけ早くとぼかしたい気持ちは分かるが、締め切りを明確に示した方がはっきりし、相手も作業に取り掛かりやすい。
＊時差について：同じ会社に働いているのなら、通常は時差が分かっているはずなので、(Japan time)のみで良い。同じ会社でなくても、(Japan time)のみで良いが、Japan is 8 hours ahead of USAなど書いてあげると親切ではある。
4・事情を理解いただきたいけれど、前任者との関係等余分な情報は書かない。
5・私はnotifyと書いたが、既にnotify自体は行っているので、notifyではなくフォローアップできていないということになる。
6・以前のメール履歴をこのメールの後に付ける場合、ことさらに言わなくても、補足情報的に言及するだけで良い。
